- 2 lbs. Peer breakfast sausage, cooked
- 1 lb. Green or savory cabbabe, large, diced
- 1 qt. Tomatoes, canned, diced
- 1 lb. Onions, medium, diced
- 1 lb. Celery, medium, diced
- 1 lb. Carrots
- 1 gal. Chicken stock
- 2 tsp. Fennel seeds
- 2 ea. Bay leaves
- 2-3 ea. Cloves
- Salt and pepper - to taste

Remove casings and crumble or chop sausage meat.
Simmer all vegetables and spices with stock in large pot till cabbage becomes soft, approximately 45 minutes.
Add sausage and simmer for 10 minutes.
Check flavor, and adjust with chicken base, if necessary.
